Teaching Literature
Ever notice that students love to chat? now, why dont we put that to good use. Here is a lesson plan which is both interesting and effective.
THE GOSSIPERS
1. Provide cards or pieces of paper consisting an information about the literature text you wish to touch on. You may have important details, textual evidence, characteristics and so on.
2. Provide students with another larger piece of paper for the students to write the information they gather from others. (it would be much better if the teacher provide a mind map with blanks to be filled with the information gathered.
3. Ask the students to ask around for as much information. The rule is, the students must share the information they have with each other when they are conversing. The activity must be carried out in a gossiping manner to make it more interesting and to ensure that only those who ask around can get the information.
4. The teacher can include also false information in order to make sure that they students know their text very well.
5. The teacher can design this activity into a mystery solving activity to make it more interesting.
*this lesson focuses on the speaking, listening and writing skills.

Ramadhan 2011
Alhamdulillah... it has been 8 magical days of the Ramadhan month; the fasting month for the Muslims. Every year brings about different experience. This year, for me, is a little tougher than years before. Most would be saying the same as it is blazing hot lately. Yeah2, i know... it's the green house effect. Humans are becoming more advance by day but none can completely solve the problem we created. Sacrifice comes in many ways and forms. To enable people to use the air-cond, we have to sacrifice our green. That's so unfair. Why would anyone create the aircond the first place?
Gosh, i'm rambling. Sorry for that. Now, what i would want to share is about being the victim or the other. The victim means someone who feels unfairly treated while the other would mean someone who performs the unfair treatment. Now, in life, one may chooce to be either. Most of the time, we would be comfortable being the victim. This may be the result of our self-assumption.
The one saying my friend told me that I would never forget is that 'One must be responsible for one's happiness'. That would easily mean you have the choice in your hands. You may want to fix things or you might want to let it 'go with the flow'. But sometimes we must bear in mind, 'if it's not broken, dont bother fixing it'.
I believe that life is all about KARMA. You will eventually get what you give. So give more if you wish to get more. The more negativeness you offer the world, the more you'll get in return. And at the end of the day, you will be so full of hatred you'll eventually explode.
So friends and foe, remember two things. 1. Be responsible of your own happiness and 2. Life is KARMA. What you give, you get back. Salam RAMADHAN and thank you for your time :)

we're just being HUMAN i guess...
We are always criticising about everything.
"You drive too slow..."
"It's too expensive..."
"Gosh, my hair looks terrible..."
"hurry up! you're wasting my time..."
"that's not good enough...."
"You should do this, and that..."
Have you ever thought of accepting and trying to adapt to the situation? Have you ever thought of the negative energy you exert to the people around you?
Many people are all about the talk and seldom the 'walk'. These people are able to condemn others and what others do but fail to walk the talk when it comes to themselves. Undeniable that what they suggest would be great and sometimes briliant but it would be useless when one is just able to sceam it but fail to prove it. We can always point fingers and comment but what matter most is the capability of the one talking/suggesting. there's no point barking here and there demanding for improvement, complaining regarding the flaws and bragging about what you are capable of but fail to prove it.
No one, i repeat, NO ONE is perfect. We all have flaws and weaknesses. But, what matter most is that we acknowledge our weaknesses and try to become better all the time. And we should always remember that there's no point giving our 'brilliant' ideas when we ourselves are incapable of doing it.
but then again... I GUESS WE ARE JUST BEING HUMAN (",)

Gosh! Poor Aleezee(my car)
May 20th 2011, few days after Teacher's Day, i received a shock of my life when I heard a sudden crash sound from the back of my beloved car. It was supposed to be a good day but it ended up with an accident involving my students' motorcycle and my car. As much as I dont want to be selfish, the impact the motorcycle had on my car had crashed the bumper and i was devastated.
I dont know what people would normally do but my conscience got the best of me. I went helping the boy worrying bout his safety. He was okay, except for the minor scratches he had on his arm. No bones were broken. But my heart was definitely crushed after seeing the damage to my car. I guess it's better to have a broken bumper than having broken bones.
It was not entirely the boy's fault. I think i'm guilty for not being aware of my surrounding. Next time, when you have teenagers riding close to you, do be conscious. These boys can sometimes be reckless.
The damage has been done :'(

Happy Teacher's Day
I would love to dedicate this entry to all teachers out there. One's life would never be the same without teachers. Due to that, i would love to wish every teacher everywhere, a Happy Teacher's Day.
Speaking about teachers, they surely have great impact in my life. They are the ones responsible making me wanting to be just like them. They have been so influential that I've been dreaming to become a teacher since i was a little boy.
Being a teacher makes me understand why one should be appreciative for what their teachers have done to them. Regardless on the amount of knowledge they taught you, most importanty they have only 1 aim... to make you successful.

i'm officially a BEE
Life has never been this busy before. Despite all the workloads, I could always find empty slot for a bit of spices and pure fun. Now, it's changing. Life is all about work, work...and work. I just want to share with all of you the price a teacher has to pay in order to engineer so called 'near-perfect human beings'. Teaching is not merely doing explanation (lots n lots of it), but it also involves assisting, helping, monitoring, training, typing, documenting, guiding, invigilating, scolding, marking, writing, talking, and all sorts of other gerunds.
Some teacher would officially work for 7 hours form 7am-2pm. While some would even work for more hours. Alhamdulillah, God has given everyone 24hours and everyone gets the hours equally but for teachers, (personal experience), 24 hours seem too short. Time passes so quickly and it's almost impossible to stop working as the burden would multiply by the minutes.
Some advice me not to show your capability but for me, your talents are given by God for you to share with condition that you're able to menage your time wisely doing it. Otherwise, when the bests in you dont get to be polished, it would turn rusty and eventually you'll lose it.
Ya Allah, please make the journey interesting yet easy.
